The Certificate of Early Childhood Development is designed for those who want to gain valuable insights on the stages young children go through when growing up. This is a comprehensive course that covers the well known early childhood development theorists such as Piaget, Freud and Erikson. This course also includes topics such as language development, toilet training and the importance of play in childhood development.

The lessons in this course will provide you with reassurance to many questions along with real life examples of how children develop.
Exercises requiring access to young children are optional. We recommend that you have English reading and writing to 5th form certificate or year 10 equivalent levels before you undertake this course.
